Mr W. T. Farrar was the son of James Farrar who ran the Red Lion. He was both a wheelwright/ joiner and a local Wesleyan Preacher. He lived in Rose Villa with his wife Ann with whom he had at least five children. Ada Elizabeth, their 4th child travelled extensively working as a nurse and sadly died in South Africa aged 36 years.
