Privacy and cookies when using the HHRAA site

This privacy policy sets out how we use any personal information we collect about you when using the website and archive or photographs of you which are on the site. 

What information do we collect about you?

We collect information when you send an email to HHRAA via the website. Photographs are now considered to be personal data. You may appear in some of the historic photographs on the site.

How will we use the information about you?

We will use the contact details you provide to respond to your comment or question. If you identify yourself in one of the historic photographs your permission will be sought to add the name to the website/archive. We will not share your information with any third party.

Some of the historic photographs already have names linked to the them, but it has not been possible to obtain everyone’s permission as their whereabout are no longer known. If your photograph is on the website and you wish either your name or picture to be removed please contact us and we will make the changes required. (Please see the section on Access to your information and correction).

How long will we keep the information about you?

Because we aim to preserve the website content as an historical archive, this information, such as photographs, will be stored indefinitely. Contact details will not be kept on the website or in the archive.

Access to your information and correction

You have the right to request a copy of the information that we hold about you. If you would like a copy of some or all of your personal information, please contact us via the form on the contacts page of the web site or write to us at celiahhraa@btinternet.com. You may ask us to correct or remove information.
