Hambleton in Stiches Facebook page was created in November 2020 for knitters, crocheters and stitchers in Hambleton. A lovely idea to link people together as the nation was in and out of lockdowns caused by the COVID Pandemic.,/br> The first major project was the Christmas Tree in the photograph which was featured on the radio when Nicola Dawes, the instigator of the page was interviewed by BBC radio York, local news on TV and in the Selby Times on 17th December, 2020. The group quickly grew to 30 members who continue to meet in both the village hall and the Owl. Since then various lovely items have appeared on special occasions on the post box on Station Road, the village green and the on the Hough for people to find when out walking and take them home to keep. The items brighten the village, thank you ladies.
