Kenneth Mervyn Norton

Mervyn was born to May & Charles in January 1917 and had an older brother Wilfred. Charles sadly died on 10th May,1918 while fighting in France.
In 1939 Mervyn was working on a poultry farm and living with his mother May and Wilfred on Station Road. He served in Egypt and became a Corporal in the RAF.
He was listed as still serving on the Serving Register in 1945 and married Phyllis Brown, from Hill Farm, on 11th August, 1945. He lived in Hambleton until he passed away in December 1983 and is buried in Hambleton Cemetery.
