Topsy-Turvey Christmas Musical Play

The School presented two musical plays over 4 nights, Friday & Saturday 8th & 9th and 15th & 16th February, 1924 one of which was “A Topsy-Turvey Christmas”.
The cast included E. Craven as Grandmother; L. Milner as Prudence; Grandmother’s girl guests were D. Smith, R. Burton, A. Leddy, C. Milner, D. Boldison, A. Wilson, C. Eshelby and M. Brown. The boy guests were L. Hill, D. Spence, R. Trees, E. Parker, A. Longfield, F. Preston and R. Clayton.
Kitchen maids were D. Parrott, I. Ransome, F. Hall, E. Claybourne, K. Bradley, E. Booker, C. Preston, L. Ransome, E. Waddingham and G. Brown. The cook was D. Howie.
Educated cats were J. H. Buckton, F. Horsfield, T. Hall, W. Waddingham, I. Hill, F. Clark and W. Wilson. The Talking Dolls were I. Boldison, T. Leddy, L. Walker, M. Stoker, E. Parker and A. Brown. The Wooden soldiers were A. Hill, W. Forrest, G. Stoker, E. Stoker, R. Stoker and S. Hill.
There were three scenes Room in Room in Grandmother’s House, Fairyland The Children’s Dream and Room in Grandmother’s House. The additional cast in Scene 2 were the Flower Fairies, Blue Bell E. Craven, Rose R. Burton, Daffodil C. Rowling, Primrose E. Walker, Lily K. Craven, Poppy D. Smith, Sun Flower A. Wilson and Violet K. Stoker. Fairy Queen A. Dodsworth and Dream Fairies J. Stoker, E. Thwaites, I. Flint, D. Wilson, I. Craven, there is a picture with 5 fairies and another on the same page shown as sisters also dressed in fairy costume who may be A. Beamish, K. Leddy and V. White. Witch F. Hall, Gnomes A. Longfield and T. Lightfoot.
