In the photograph from left to right Violet, Audrey, Alf, Charles Albert (Bert), Concetta Carrino (Tina), Edie, Blanche & Albert.
Bert as he is known was born and bought up in Hambleton. He was born in December, 1923 to Albert & Blanche (nee Talbot) and had seven siblings Leslie, Alfred, Violet, Edith, Audrey, Edgar and Alec.
He met Tina when he was serving in Italy in the second World War and they married in Hambleton in April 1947. One of the residents commented that she was the most beautiful woman he had ever seen.
Sadly Tina died in 2003.
