Why the photograph was taken has yet to be discovered but it will have been taken between 1950 and 1954 when Claude & Eliza Butler lived there. The names are Job Longbottom railway worker; Mr Pettison farmer; Arthur Wood hospital porter at Leeds Sanitorium Gateforth; Claude Butler landlord of the Wheatsheaf; Mrs Hesetine who played the piano on a Sunday; Judd Granger railway worker; and Arthur Boldison.
