School bank

The school bank had its official opening on 25th April, 1921. 34 children bought their pence and opened their own bank accounts. At the end of the summer term there had been 783 deposits totaling £32 10s 4d. A Yorkshire Penny Bank official said that this is above average. By 24th April, 1922 the number of deposits had risen to 2,515 and amount deposited was £112 8s 8d.
