Matthew Cargill and his wife Elizabeth had 4 children, one son William and three daughters Ivy Gertrude, Ida Daisy, and Gladys Elizabeth. The photo is believed to be Gladys who was listed in the 1911 census as a Postal carrier. Ivy in the 1901 census was a pupil teacher in Hambleton and in 1911 a teacher. Ivy remained single and continued to teach after she left Hambleton. Gladys married in 1917 and Ida in 1919.
