Mrs Betty Foster was a member of the Hambleton Parochial Church Council and each year, along with volunteers from the Church gave St. Mary’s a ‘Spring Clean’ both inside and outside. Note the window cleaner on the ladder. Mrs Foster was a regular fundraiser for St. Mary’s Church, contributing to many Christmas Fayres, Harvest Festival Supper and, Coffee mornings, along with other members of the congregation. She was also a long serving member of Hambleton W.I. and Hambleton Yorkshire Countrywomen.
