Oliver was a gunner in the 86th Brigade, Royal Field Artillery ‘D’ Battery, service number 106866 and died on 19th September, 1917 age 19. of Gateforth. He is buried in Zuydcoote Military Cemetery. He was the son of Owen and Hannah Scatchard.
