Edward was a Trooper in the 146th (9th Battalion The Duke of Wellington’s Regiment [West Riding] Regiment, Royal Armoured Corps who died on 26thMay, 1943 aged 30. He is remembered with honour in the Kirkee War Cemetery, Khadki, a town near Pune in Maharashtra, India. He was the son of Ted and Henrietta Parker of Hambleton and husband to Olive living in Selby.
