These engines were built as Class O for the North Eastern Railway between 1894-1901, taken over by LNER in 1923 and British Rail in 1948. In 1957 No. 67250 was known as The Drax Flyer and pulled two non-corridor coaches taking boys from Selby to Drax Grammar School. A G5 society has been formed to build a full working replica.
